At Tapestry Pictures, we take your privacy seriously. We only use your personal information to administer your commissions and to provide the products and services you have requested from us.

What personal data do we collect?

When you commission a film with Tapestry Pictures or order a product from us, you give us certain contact information about yourself, which we use to process and fulfil your order. This may include:

- We also collect information when ‘Growing Up’ customers complete a questionnaire about their children

How we will use your information?

Many of our customers ask us to film their organisation, children, family or school regularly. For this reason we retain your contact information:

- To inform you of future filming dates and locations, and other services, which we think may be relevant to you

- Films are kept in case you lose them or require them to be re-edited in the future

In line with data protection laws, you still have the right to opt out at any time. If you are new to Tapestry Pictures you will be able to manage your preferences when you place an order with us.

Do we keep your finished films?

Yes, we keep a copy of every finished film that we make. This is so that we can supply films to customers who have lost their copies, or who want to order another copy from us.

We also keep raw footage from our films, so that we can re-edit them if you ask us to do so.

We endeavour to keep these films in perpetuity. These are stored safely in both our NW11 and N1 offices. We try our best to keep every film physically and digitally secure on password-protected computers and hard drives, to safeguard them from misuse, loss, or unauthorised access. We cannot legislate for drives or files which may become corrupt over time.

If you prefer us not to keep your films, you can tell us at any time and we will delete all copies of it.

Do we use your films for marketing or promotional purposes?

We use films to promote Tapestry Pictures on our website, and on social media. We only use your films if you give us your express consent.

The information you provide to us will be held on our password-protected computers, on external hard drives and as hard copies.

Do we share your personal data and films with any third parties?

We have policies and procedures in place to ensure that data can only be accessed by staff members who need it in order to perform their duties.

We will only allow your information to be used by third party services when this is necessary for the performance of the contract between us. These services may be processing information and orders, storing film data, or editing and providing other essential services on our behalf.
