Societies at Highgate School - a humorous approach
3’50” - A film to illustrate the diverse range of extra curricula activities (beyond sport, music and drama) on offer at Highgate School. Improvising around a plan we used outtakes and trickery to build a sense of participation and fun.
Sherfield School - dynamic camerawork
3’40” - As advanced film-making technology becomes more affordable so we have introduced it into our education sector films. This short film, part of a series, illustrates the use we are making of devices such as drones, gimbals and sliders to add more movement to our camerawork. We believe this dynamic style is particularly appealing to young people. This film also features super-slow-motion
1’17” - It would be too much to ask you to watch Inside Stories, our 94 minute documentary feature about Highgate School but this was the trailer.
Au Revoir Mr Lough
7’58” - Schoolboys wish their headmaster a happy retirement and reveal some surprising ideas they have about him. The graphics and music play a large part in building a sense of fun.
6’09” - This film addresses a concern of many year 11s as they contemplate moving school for the sixth form. As well as this main film, we produced a series of short films for a social media campaign which has been rated very highly by the school. They summed up feedback from students as “much cooler than we would have expected”. At the end we have added some “after the event” footage of students discussing the day’s shoot and other films we have made for their school.
4’10” - Excerpt from a fly-on-the-wall documentary. Two rehearsal days leading up to the school’s annual musical production.
